Zoe Aldcroft picked for Old Mutual Wealth Series –

England Women’s head coach Simon Middleton has announced his 32-player squad for the Old Mutual Wealth Series against France, New Zealand and Canada with an away fixture against Ireland in November.

The Red Roses’ squad features seven names who represented Team GB in the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, including Emily Scarratt, Katy Mclean and Danielle Waterman, and have now returned to the 15-a-side programme.

Included is Scarborough’s Zoe Aldcroft who has moved through the ranks of women’s rugby since starting as a mini-rugby player at Scarborough RUFC.

Zoe has been on course for this honour when, at just 13 years old, she represented Yorkshire at under-15 level and moved swiftly forward being one of the England Under-20s side which recently won the under-20s European Championship.

Along the way she played for Malton girls, West Park Leeds, Hartpury College and Mowden Park. Zoe flies to America with her teammates on Monday.

The Red Roses will get underway against France at Twickenham Stoop on Wednesday 9 November.
