Friday 20th March 2020
Following this afternoon’s government announcement we can confirm that the customer facing services at Scarborough Rugby Club; namely the Bar, Barons Fitness Centre, Squash Academy and Hartley’s cafe-bar will be closed to the public as of 10.30pm this evening and until further notice.
We had already been expecting this announcement and a plan has been put in place which will be distributed with more detail to all our members on Monday.
This announcement does not mean however that life at Silver Royd has stopped. The administration functions of the Club will be remaining open as well as the NHS Physiotherapy services. As a Club we will still be operating as a business 7 days a week and will be offering a range of services for our members including:
- a take-away and food delivery service
- regular training plans for all our gym members,
- online exercise classes,
- nutrition information and general guidance.
Details of all these services and more will be announced on Monday.
For this Saturday and Sunday we will have staff on site between the hours of 8am and 5pm to answer any questions over the phone. To get in touch, please call 01723 357740 (opt 2)
We strongly request that that all gym members who can afford to keep their Direct Debit do so and we guarantee to reward all members who maintain their payments throughout this period by crediting the full amount back to them over the 12 months following our reopening. We will also be creating a range of benefits and special offers as a gesture of our extreme thanks and these will be announced on Monday
If anyone has any questions or needs further information about the credit back offer, please wait until Monday and give us a call.
We realise that this is a big ask at a time of such uncertainty and we completely understand that some individuals and families may face their own financial challenges and won’t be able to do so.
At times of greatest need, if we all work together, we can accomplish great things and we will come back to a vibrant Silver Royd with all staff still in place
