Highlight of last Sunday’s youth games was Scarborough under-13s 51-0 defeat of visitors Whitby. The home side dominated up front in tight and open play with Haydn Ogilvy, Alasdair Paxton and Conor Ward in charge. Robert Snowdon and James Marsden were outstanding in the loose with the latter running in three tries. Scarborough were so much in control that they appeared to run in tries at will with touchdowns coming from Aaron Wilson, Ollie Brown, Brynn Andrews, Sam Dickenson, Owen Renwick and Joe Marshall. Callum Hodgson and Conor Holdsworth were unfortunate not to share in the glut of touchdowns but their defensive work was outstanding on the day. With only four games played so far this season 24 tries have been scored with every player behind the scrum helping himself to at least one. Man-of-the-match was awarded to Robert Snowdon.
